Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is caused by Hanta virus, which typically present in five stages, including febrile phase, hypotensive phase, oliguric phase, diuretic phase, convalescent phase. HFRS complicated with acute glaucoma is rare. A 31-year-old male who presented with fever, hematuria, ocular pain, and decreased visual acuity was admitted to our hospital. Ophthamic examination performed at admission, showed increased ocular pressure (27/25 mmHg) and a diagnosis of acute closed angle glaucoma was made. HFRS was diagnosed by clinical manifestation and laboratory finding(IFA). He received eye drops(dorazolamide hydrochloride, timolol meleate, brimonidine tartrate) and ocular pressure, visual acuity, and ocular pain improved. We report on a patient with case of acute glaucoma with HFRS.
