Teaching Song-Lyrics through Storytelling: Focusing on Story-Making

Since much of the expressive nature of songs has its origin in its lyrics, teachers are asked to teach students to appreciate and interpret the lyrics. However teaching song-lyrics are not easy because those are generally in the forms of poetry. One of the poetic qualities makes students difficult to appreciate poetry is the lack of requisite characteristics of a story. Therefore the purpose of this study is to suggest the effective application of storytelling for teaching lyrics.
