A Development of Music Program in Character Education for Preventing the School Violence

The purpose of this study is to develop music program in character education for preventing the school violence. In order to develop music program in character education, three factors are considered ; art subject as character education, character elements in character education for music, problem solving at conflict situation. 7 character elements in music are connected to 7 school violence with various music activities ; respect – sexual violence in music history, trustworthiness – verbal violence in instrumental activity, responsibility – coercion in chorus, caring – physical violence in movement, fairness – robbery in vocal activity, citizenship – outcast in vocal and creative activities, aesthetics – cyber outcast in creative activity.
