The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the middle school students perceived teacher-student relationship and parental learning involvement on music interest through musical self-efficacy. To achieve this purpose, this study used structural equation modeling which is based on Interest theory and some empirical studies on music interest. Major conclusion of this study were as follows: First, Teacher-student relationship had direct effects and indirect effects on music interest, which are mediated by self efficacy. Second, Parental learning involvement had no direct effects but indirect effects on music interest, which are mediated by self efficacy. Third, Self efficacy had direct effects on music interest.
