The Study on the Audition Repertoires Majoring in Piano of Music Colleges, High School of Arts, and Middle School of Arts in Korea

This study foceus on audition repertoires used between 1987 and 2016 by Korean music colleges, arts high school and arts middle school of music, and analyze the selected pieces by format, genre, period, and composer. Further, this study also compares such audition repertoires with those used in foreign music colleges. Based on such analysis, this paper aims to examine of how admissions criteria affect the selection of audition repertoires and further offer a way forward to improving admissions by showing the educational impact of such choices.
