청소년지도자와 전문직으로서의 가치문제

A Study on the Youth Worker and Value Issue as a Professional Job

청소년지도는 도덕적이거나 문화적인 가치를 가진 청소년뿐만 아니라 다양한 인간을 대상으로 한다는 점에서 그 기능과 역할이 가치를 기반으로 하는 전문직일 필요가 있다. 그런 점에서 청소년지도의 기본 가치를 탐색하고 명료화하는 일은 의미가 있으며 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사회복지실천에서 논의되어 온 윤리적 가치의 유형과 변화들을 살펴봄으로써 전문직이 지향해야 할 가치의 내용들을 확인하였으며 청소년 지도에 대해 이해하고 청소년지도자의 역할과 자질, 청소년지도자의 윤리강령에서 강조되는 가치들을 살펴보았다. 또한 청소년상담과 가치문제를 알아보기 위해 청소년상담에 대한 이해, 청소년상담사의 자질, 청소년상담사의 가치에 대해 고찰하였다. 청소년지도자는 전문적 지식과 실천적 기술을 지속적으로 개발하여 연마함과 동시에 그 토대가 되는 가치에 대한 이해와 지향을 통해 자질을 갖춘 청소년지도자로 발전할 수 있는 것이다.

Youth work needs to be a professional job as having values of the function and role in terms of working for the youth having moral and cultural values as well as various human being. Therefore, the searching and clarification of the basic value of youth work is meaningful and important. This study confirms the contents of value as oriented by a professional job by reviewing the types and changes of ethical value discussed in the practice of social work. This study also understands the meaning of youth work, the role and endowment of youth workers, and the values emphasized in the code of ethics. In addition, this study examines the meaning of youth counselling, qualifying endowment of youth counselor, and the value of youth counselor to study the issue of youth counselor and value. Youth worker becomes a qualified professional by developing professional expertise and practical skills continuously as well as value-based understanding and orientation as foundation of the work.
