RSP를 활용한 조리도구 소재 발명교육이 초등학생의 창의성에 미치는 영향

Effects of RSP-based Invention Education of Cooking Utensils on Creativity of Elementary Students

이 연구는 초등학교 5학년 실과 교과서에 있는 조리도구를 소재로 RSP 모형을 활용해 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하고 개발한 프로그램이 초등학생의 창의성 발달에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보기 위하여 수행하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 실과 교과를 대상으로 교과 내 조리도구 관련 내용이 반영된 단원들을 추출한 후 해당 단원의 학습목표와 내용을 바탕으로 4회기(총 8차시) 분량의 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하여 실과 수업을 통해 현장 적용하였으며, 이 발명교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 창의성에 미치는 정도를 알아보기 위해 창의적 성향, 창의적 사고력, 과제 추진력과 같이 3개의 영역으로 구성되어 있는 창의성 검사도구를 사용하였다. 이 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실과 교과서에 나오는 조리도구를 소재로 하는 RSP 활용 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 둘째, RSP 활용 조리도구 소재 발명교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 창의성 향상에 긍정적 영향을 주었음을 알 수 있었다. 실험집단의 사전․사후검사 창의성 점수를 비교해 보면 3가지 영역 모두에서 사후 창의적 문제해결력 점수가 사전 창의적 문제해결력 점수보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합해 보면 RSP를 활용한 조리도구 소재의 발명교육은 초등학생의 창의성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 미침을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구에서 개발한 프로그램은 실과 수업 시 발명 단원과 식생활 단원의 통합을 통해 단원간 연계 수업을 계획 할 때 활용될 수 있으며, 이론 중심의 발명교육 프로그램의 단점을 보완하여 이미 출시된 발명품들을 활용해 학생들의 흥미를 더 크게 유발할 수 있는 점에서 추후 발명교육 프로그램의 교수학습 자료 개발시 참고자료로 활용할 수 있는 자료로 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

The study was conducted to develop an invention education program using an RSP model that focuses on the cooking utensils in the elementary fifth grade practical course textbook. To this end, I selected the unit that contains cooking utensils, and developed an invention education program of 4 sessions (a total of 8 hours) based on the learning objectives and contents of the unit. To see how much this invention education program affects the creativity of elementary school students, I used a creativity test tool measuring three areas: creative disposition, creative thinking, and task driving. The results of this study were as follows: First, the invention education program using the RSP was developed based on cooking utensils in the practical course textbook. Second, the invention education program was shown to have had a positive impact on the creativity of elementary school students. In all three areas, the posttest scores were significantly higher than the pretest scores. These findings note that the invention of cooking utensils using RSP had a positive effect on improving creativity of elementary school students. The program developed in this study can be used to plan an integrative class of invention education and diet education in practical course. It is also possible to supplement the shortcomings of theory-centered invention education and use the inventions that have already been released to attract more interests from students. The program could be used as a reference to the development of teaching materials for later development.
