두 초등 신규교사의 미술 수업에서 이상과 실재에 대한 내러티브 연구

A Narrative Study on Ideal and Reality of Two New Elementary School Teachers in Art Classes

초등교사가 되기까지 과정에서 미술교육은 큰 비중을 차지하지 않고, 입시 등의 경쟁에서 교사가 되기를 희망하는 자에게 관심 밖에 있다. 그러나 초등교사는 미술교과를 지도해야한다. 내러티브 탐구를 통해 두 신규교사의 교사가 되기까지 미술과 미술 수업 경험, 그들이 생각하는 이상적인 미술 수업과 실재 미술 수업 경험, 미술 수업에 영향을 미치는 요소에 대한 경험에 대한 차원에서 분석하고 재구성한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 두 신규교사가 갖는 미술 수업에 대한 인식과 관련된 것이다. 미술 수업을 학생의 흥미를 끌게 하는 창조적인 표현활동으로 생각하며 체험, 감상 보다 표현 중심의 수업으로 인식하고 있었다. 한편으로 미술 수업은 휴식시간이나 업무시간으로 인식되기도 하였다. 둘째, 두 신규교사가 갖는 미술 수업에 대한 어려움이다. 미술활동을 위한 수업준비물, 관리자나 동료교사의 미술 수업에 대한 인식, 교실의 구성원은 미술 수업을 하는데 있어서 많은 어려움을 제공하는 요인들이다. 그러나 두 신규교사는 미술 수업에 대해 가지고 있는 오개념과 환경적인 어려움에도 불구하고 각자 이상적인 미술 수업을 위해 최선을 다하고 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 학교 현장에 기반을 둔 현실적인 미술 수업을 바라보는 우리의 관점에 대해 다시 생각해보는 기회를 갖고 초등 미술 수업이 궁극적으로 의미 있는 수업이 이루어지는데 도움이 되고자 한다.

In the process of becoming a elementary school teacher, art education plays a minor role and is paid little attention to by those who compete in entrance examinations to become teachers. However, elementary school teachers should teach art classes. A narrative inquiry of two new teachers analyzed and reconstructed the variables in art education, the ideal art class, and real art class experience. First, when it comes to their recognition of art classes,art classes were regarded as creative expression activityies that attracted student s interest and focus on expression rather than experience and appreciation. On the other hand, art classes were recognized as breaks or business hours. Second, when it comes to the difficulty of the teachers in art classes, classroom preparation for art activities, perception of art class by manager or fellow teacher, and the members of classroom are factors that provide many difficulties in art class. However, despite the misconceptions and environmental difficulties of art classes, the two new teachers were doing their best for each of the ideal art classes. Through this study, I would like to reconsider our point of view of realistic art class based on the school scene and to help provide meaningful elementary art classes.
