트라우마 가족치료와 투사적 동일시

가족은 우리가 태어나 처음으로 관계를 맺는 곳이다. 가족 안에서 어떤 관계를 맺고 어떤 감정을 경험하였는가는 평생 간직된다. 특히 원가족으로부터 비롯된 트라우마적 경험은 대개 만성적이고 지속적인 특성을 띠며 그 후의 대인관계에 반복되어 결혼생활에도 영향을 미치면서 대물림된다. 이러한 가족 안에서 발생하는 트라우마에 관심을 갖는 상담모델이 바로 ‘트라우마 가족치료’이다. 트라우마 가족치료는 가족의 트라우마가 ‘얽힘(Verstrickung)’으로 작용하여 갈등과 문제를 발생시킨다고 보기에 치료의 핵심작업도 바로 가족 안에 존재하는 트라우마로 발생된 체계의 얽힘을 해결하는 것이다. ‘투사적 동일시(projective identification)’는 언어적 교류를 넘어서는 광범위한 심리적 교류체계로서 ‘얽힘’의 심리적 메커니즘이 될 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 투사적 동일시에 대한 보다 깊이 있는 이해를 통해 가족 체계 안에서 투사적 동일시기 ‘얽힘’의 심리내적 메커니즘으로 작용할 수 있다는 것과 더 나아가 투사적 동일시가 트라우마 가족치료의 치료방법에 활용이 가능함을 밝혀내고자 한다.

The family is the first place where we establish relations with others. What relationship we have and how we felt in family could last a lifetime. A traumatic experience especially caused by original family usually become chronic and continuous to be repeated in interpersonal relationships ever afterward, and be passed down having a strong impact on married life. ‘Trauma Family Therapy’ is the counseling model which focuses on this kind of trauma. In family positioning, it is assumed that a trauma of a family functions as ‘verstrickung’, raising conflict and problems. Thus, this therapy’s core work is to solve the‘verstrickung’ of the system which came from the existing trauma in a family. ‘Projective identification’can be a psychological mechanism of verstrickung as an extensive psychological interchange system beyond linguistic one. The purpose of this paper was to demonstrate that projective identification can act as a psychological mechanism of verstrickung in family system, and furthermore, it can be used for family positioning by understanding the functions of projective identification more deeply.
