장애관련 경험 및 장애관련 교육이 ‘장애인에 대한 태도’에 미치는 영향 - S시 어린이집 및 유치원 교사를 대상으로 -

The Effects of the Disability Related Experience and Disability Educations on Attitudes toward Persons with Disabilities - Child-care Center and Kindergarten Teacher’s in S City

본 연구는 S시 어린이집 및 유치원 교사의 장애관련 경험과 장애관련 교육이 장애인에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 검증함으로써 통합보육 현장에서 장애인식개선의 정책적·실천적 제도 마련을 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 S시 어린이집 및 유치원 교사 385명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행한 후, SPSS 23.0을 활용하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 대상자의 일반적 배경요인은 연령으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애관련 경험(통합보육경험, 장애인가족/친인척, 장애인자원봉사) 변인 중 장애인에 대한 태도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인은 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 장애관련 교육(장애관련과목수강, 장애인식개선교육, 교사간 정보교류) 변인 중 장애관련과목수강, 교사간 정보교류가 장애인에 대한 태도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 결과를 통해 S시 어린이집 및 유치원 교사대상 장애인식개선교육의 개선 방안 및 통합보육을 위한 특수교육방향의 시사점을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to establish policy and practical system for the improvement of the recognition of disability in integrated childcare field by verifying the experiences of disabled children and kindergarten teachers on disability education and the attitudes toward disabled people. The results of this study are as follows: First, the questionnaire survey was conducted on 385 kindergartens and daycare centers in S city, followed by hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 23.0. First, the general background factor of the subjects affecting the attitude toward the disabled was age. Second, there were no significant influences on the attitudes toward the disabled among the variables of disability related experience (integrated child care experience, disabled family/relatives, disabled volunteer). Third, the variables of disability education (disability-related subjects, improvement of awareness of disabled persons, information exchange among teachers), attending disability-related subjects, and information exchange among teachers were significant factors influencing attitudes toward disabled people. The result suggests the improvement plan of the disability awareness education for day care center and kindergarten teacher and the implication of the special education direction for integrated child care.
