학교공동체의 비전 도출 과정 탐색: C중학교 사례를 중심으로

An Exploration of the Processes of Deriving a School Community’s Vision: A Focus on ‘C’ middle school’s case

연구목적: 본 연구는 학교 공동체 구성원들이 참여하여 비전을 도출한 과정을 탐색함으로써 혁신을 추구하고 있는 단위 학교에 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 국 내·외 학교 사례 및 선행 연구를 토대로 연구모형을 설정하고, 설문도구를 제작하였다. 총 3차의 설문조사를 실시하여 학교 공동체 구성원들의 의견을 수집하였고, 기술통계와 내용분석을 통해 의견을 수렴하였다. 연구결과: C중학교의 핵심가치는 공감, 도전, 협력, 건강, 즐거움으로 나타났고, 이와 관련하여 구성원상(학생상, 학부모상, 교사상)을 명확히 하였다. 핵심가치와 구성원상을 토대로 학교의 최종적인 목표인 비전을 도출하였다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구는 비전을 도출하고자 하는 학교 공동체에 정보를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 개별 구성원들에게는 학교공동체의 비전에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 갖게 하였을 것으로 기대된다.

Purpose: The primary purpose of the study was to offer suggestions to schools seeking innovations by undertaking an in-depth exploration of ‘C’ middle school’s case that implemented a series of democratic processes for the purpose of deriving school community’s shared vision based upon collective opinions of teachers, students and parents. Methods: The research methodology was designed on the basis of the analyses of relevant studies on domestic and overseas cases to the topic of this study and the questionnaire, which was used to collect both quantitative and qualitative data, was also created as a result of implementation of literature review. The questionnaire was administered to teachers, students, and parents three times in order to gather their opinions. The data collected was then analyzed in terms of descriptive statistics and content analysis. Results: It was found that the C middle school’s core values were empathy, challenging spirit, collaboration, health, and joy. These core values helped to clarify and establish the desirable characteristics of students, teachers, and parents. Then, the school vision was subsequently derived. Discussion and Conclusion: This study is expected not only to disseminate information conducive to schools that try to carry out the study of the same kind but to lead the school members to have positive perspectives on the school community’s vision.
