부모의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향: 부모 공동양육의 조절효과를 중심으로

Effects of parenting efficacy on children’s social competence: The moderating effects of co-parenting

본 연구에서는 아버지와 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아기 자녀의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 공동양육의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 한국아동패널(2014) 7차년도 자료를 사용하였으며 연구 대상은 유아 1,605명과, 아버지 1,483명, 어머니 1,587명이다. 연구 도구로 양육효능감 척도, 사회적 기술 평정 척도, 공동양육 검사 도구를 사용하였으며 기술통계, 상관관계, 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 아버지와 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 아버지와 어머니의 공동양육은 유의미한 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 단순기울기 검증을 실시하여 구체적인 상호작용 양상을 살펴본 결과, 어머니의 공동양육이 높은 경우 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능성을 증가시키고, 어머니의 공동양육이 낮은 경우 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능성을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 아버지의 경우에도 동일한 결과가 나타났다. 즉, 아버지와 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아기 자녀의 사회적 유능성에 긍정적 영향을 미치며, 공동양육은 이러한 효과를 촉진한다는 것을 의미한다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 유아의 사회적 유능성 향상을 위해서는 부모의 협동이 중요하다는 공동양육의 가치를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effects of co-parenting in the effects of fathers’and mothers’parenting efficacy on the social competence of young children. For this, 7th year data of the Panel Study on Korean Children were used. The subjects of this study were 1,605 children, 1,483 fathers, and 1,587 mothers. Parenting Sense Of Competence scale, Social Skill Rating System for preschool level, and Co-parenting scale were used as research tools. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results showed that parental efficacy of father and mother had a significant effect on the social competence of children. In the case of mothers’and fathers’co-parenting is high, the mother’s and the father’s parenting efficacy increases the social competence of children and if mothers’and fathers’co-parenting is low, it decreased social competence of children. In other words, the parenting efficacy of father and mother has a positive effect on the social competence of children, and the co-parenting promotes this effect. Based on the results of this study, we discussed the value of co-parenting, which suggests that parental cooperation is important for improving the social competence of children.
