Mothers’perception on the use and effects of the class notes

본 연구는 알림장 유형에 따른 알림장의 운영과 효과에 대한 어머니의 인식을 알아보기 위해 304명의 어머니를 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였다. 연구결과, 모바일 알림장은 수기 알림장에 비해 더 자주 제공되고 아버지가 수신하는 경우가 많이 나타났다. 어머니들이 기관과의 의사소통 방법으로 모바일 알림장을 가장 선호하고, 알림장의 장점을 자녀의 교육정보를 신속하게 전달하는 것으로 인식한 점들을 통해 현대사회의 테크놀로지 환경의 변화가 어머니들의 알림장 인식에 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 어머니들은 알림장 내용 중 유아의 교육활동 내용 외에 사진, 일정표, 공지사항 등과 같은 정보성 내용에 관심이 높은 것으로 나타나 알림장의 구성 내용의 개선이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 알림장의 유형에 따라 알림장 효과에 대한 인식의 차이를 보였으며, 모바일 알림장 사용 어머니들이 수기 알림장 사용 어머니 보다 만족도와 의사소통 정도가 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로, 알림장을 통한 부모참여의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 알림장에 대한 어머니의 인식과 요구를 반영하여 알림장의 유형과 내용구성을 개선할 필요성이 제기된다.

This study was to identify the use and effects of the class notes embedded in the mothers’ perception. The questionnaires were distributed to 304 mothers who were provided with the mobile class notes and the written class notes from early childhood centers. The results showed that the mobile class notes were provided to mothers more often than the written class notes. Fathers were also involved in the teacher-parent communication due to the easy access of mobile class notes. Most of the mothers preferred to use mobile class notes regardless of the types of the class notes that they are using at present, and perceived that mobile class note provided with the information about their children quickly. These perceptions seem to have resulted from the influence of technology tools like mobile. The participants were interested in the informational contents such as educational activities of children, photos, daily schedule, and the menu of foods provided from the center. The participants showed the difference in the perception on the effects of the class notes according to the types of the class notes. Mothers who used the written class notes compared to the mothers who used the mobile class notes responded that they were not satisfied with the use of the class notes and that they were not communicated well with teachers through the class notes. In conclusion, it is needed to change the way of use and the contents of the class notes by reflecting on mothers’needs for effective communication between mothers and teachers.
