건강장애유아의 교육지원에 대한 고찰 - 병원학교를 중심으로

Study of Educational Support for Young Children with Health Disorders - Focused on Hospital School

본 연구는 건강장애유아의 병원학교 참여에 대한 고찰을 통해 건강장애유아의 교육의 권리 및 참여가 어떻게 이루어지고 있으며, 건장장애유아의 교육적 질의 개선에 대한 논의를 하고자 한다. 연구방법은 병원학교의 도입배경, 교육지원에 대한 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 건강장애유아의 경우 특수교육대상자임에도 불구하고 병원에 입원하는 특수한 상황에 처해 있다는 이유로 교육의 장에서 사실상 배척되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 유아는 결정적 발달시기로 중요성은 익히 인식하고 있음에도 불구하고 교육의 영역에서 지원과 권리를 박탈당하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 건강장애유아의 교육지원에서 병원학교에 대한 운영 및 현황에 대해서 고찰하고 연구결과를 바탕으로 건강장애유아의 교육지원에 대한 관계부처의 노력과 책임, 구체적인 방안을 마련하는데 유용한 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

This study aims to understand the current status of rights and participation in education of young children with health disorders, and also to discuss the improvement of educational quality for young children with health disorders through the consideration of their participation in hospital school. Regarding the research methods, the data of introduction background of hospital school and educational support was collected and analyzed. Even though young children with health disorders are the recipients of special education, they are actually excluded from a place for education for the reason why they are in a special circumstance of being hospitalized. Even though the importance of early childhood is perceived as a crucial developmental stage, the support and right in the area of education are deprived. Therefore, based on the results of studying the operation and current status of hospital school regarding the educational support for young children with health disorders, this study would be used as useful data for efforts, responsibility, and concrete measures of relevant government departments in terms of educational support for young children with health disorders.
