노인의 장애유무에 따른 사회경제학적 특성, 만성질환 유무, 의료이용 및 의료비 지출 비교: 2015년 한국의료패널 자료를 이용하여

Comparison of Socio-economic Characteristics, Presence of Chronic Disease, Medical use and Expenditure between Olders with and without Disabilities : Using Data of Korea Health Panel (2015)

목적: 본 연구는 노인의 장애유무에 따른 사회경제학적 특성, 만성질환 유무, 그리고 의료이용 및 의료비 지출을 비교하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구자는 2015년 한국의료패널의 원시자료를 사용하였고 장애노인 618명과 비장애노인 3,426명을 비교하였다. 연구결과: 사회경제학적 특성 비교에서 장애노인은 비장애노인에 비해 남성의 비율이 높았고(p<.001), 나이가 많았으며(p<.001), 교육수준은 낮았다(p<.05). 또한 의료급여 수급자의 비율이 높았고(p<.001), 경제활동이 제한되어 있었다(p<.001). 만성질환은 장애노인이 비장애노인과 비교하여 유의하게 많은 비중을 차지하였다(p<.001). 의료이용은 장애노인이 비장애노인보다 응급실(p<.05), 입원시설 이용에서 유의하게 더 높은비율을 보였다(p<.001). 의료비 지출은 장애노인이 비장애노인보다 유의하게 더 많았다(p<.05). 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 장애노인의 사회지원서비스 지원확대를 위한 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.

Objective: The aim of present study was to compare the socio-economic characteristics, presence of chronic disease, medical use and expenditure between olders with and without disabilities. Method: The data were collected using raw data of the 2015 Korea health panel and compared between 618 olders with disabilities and 3,426 general olders. Result: In comparison of socio-economic characteristics, age and rate of male of olders with disabilities were significantly higher than general olders (p<.001), education level were low (p<.05), and presence of medical aids recipients was higher (p<.001), economic activity was limited (p<.001). In rate of chronic disease, olders with disabilities were significantly higher than the general olders (p<.001). Olders with disabilities were significantly higher in use rate of emergency room and hospitalization than general olders (p<.001). Olders with disabilities were significantly higher in medical expenditure than general olders (p<.05). Conclusion: Based on the findings of current investigation, it is necessary to seek ways to expansion of social support services of olders with disabilities.
