칸트의 의미론적 기획과 분석적 칸트주의의 새로운 경향

Kant’s Semantical Project and a New Trend of Analytic Kantianism

분석적 칸트주의는 “칸트의 생각을 명백히 분석적으로 해석하고 옹호하며 다듬”고자 하는 분석철학의 한 흐름이다. 최근 분석적 칸트주의에서는 칸트의 『순수이성비판』을 의미론적으로 해석하려는 시도가 새롭게 주목받고 있다. 이 새로운 시도는 현대의 의미론적 논의 맥락에서 칸트철학의 의의를 새롭게 조명하고자 한다. 이 논문의 목표는 분석적 칸트주의의 이런 의미론적 시도가 가능한지 검토하고 그와 관련된 쟁점을 확인하는 것이다. 이 논문은 먼저 『순수이성비판』에 대한 의미론적 해석과 기존 해석의 차이점을 설명한 다음, 어떻게 『순수이성비판』의 비판적 기획이 의미론적 기획으로 이해될 수 있는지, 즉 『순수이성비판』에 대한 의미론적 해석의 일반적 가능성을 보여줄 것이다. 그리고 마지막으로 이 논문은 분석적 칸트주의의 다양한 의미론적 해석이 서로 대립하는 주요 쟁점이 무엇인지 제시할 것이다.

Analytic Kantianism is a type of analytic philosophy that tries “a distinctly analytic interpretation, defence, and elaboration of Kant’s ideas.” Recently in the spotlight is a new trend of analytic Kantianism, namely an analytic interpretation of Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason in terms of semantics. This new approach attempts to elucidate the significance of Kant’s philosophy in the semantic context of our times. This paper aims to generally examine the possibility of such a semantic interpretation and to identify its main issues. For this purpose we shall first explain the difference between the traditional interpretations and the recent semantic interpretations, and then try to show the general possibility of semantic interpretations on Kant’s first Critique, i.e., how Kant’s critical project can be understood as a semantic one. Finally, we shall present what are the controversial issues of analytic Kantianism with regard to their semantic interpretations on Kant’s first Critique.
