초등교사의 로봇활용SW교육에 대한 인식과 요구 조사

Investigating Perceptions and Needs of Primary School Teachers on Utilization of Robotics Programming

본 연구의 목적은 로봇활용SW 교육에 대한 초등교사의 인식을 알아보고, 이러한 연구결과를 기반으로 초등교사에게 필요한 지원과 전략에 대한 시사점을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 8명의 전국 초등교사(남 2명, 여 6명)를 대상으로 약 30분 가량 반구조화된 전화인터뷰를 진행하였다. 분석결과, 대부분의 초등교사는 로봇활용SW교육에 대해 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있었으나, SW교육이나 로봇교육에 관한 연수에 참여했거나 수업 경험이 없는 교사들은 아직 로봇이나 SW교육의 활용에 대해 어렵거나 모르겠다는 인식을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 초등교육에서 로봇활용SW교육의 도입에 있어서 가장 중요한 요소로 문제해결력을 촉진하는 교수전략과 도구의 지원을 꼽았으며, 환경적, 재정적 기반의 미흡으로 활용하지 않는다고 밝혔다. 이러한 결과는 초등교육에서 로봇활용SW교육의 확산을 위해서는 우수 수업 사례의 공유 및 관련 학습환경을 구축할 수 있는 재정적 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

This study investigated perceptions of primary school teachers on utilization of robotics programming and proposed necessary support and strategies for primary school teachers. For this research purpose, we did in-depth semi-structured interview about 30 minutes with 8 primary school teachers (2 male, 6 female) to investigate the perceptions and attitudes about the acceptance and utilization of robotics programming. The results of the study are as follows: primacy school teachers had positive or neutral perception about robotics programming. For robotics programming acceptance, they need problem-solving training and educational resource support. In addition, the reason that they did not utilize robotics programming was lack of environmental and financial support. Based on the results of this study, we proposed the direction of SW education using robots.
