간호대 신입생의 의사소통능력에 영향 미치는 요인

Factors Influencing Communication Skill in Freshmen of Nursing College

본 연구는 간호대 신입생의 자아존중감, 자아정체감, 의사소통능력의 관계를 확인하고, 자아존중감, 자아정체감이 의사소통능력에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시도하였다. D시에 위치한 4년제 간호학과 학생 207명을 대상으로 자료 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램으로 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 자아존중감은 자아정체감(r=.409, p<.001), 의사소통능력(r=.424, p<.001)과 상관관계를, 자아정체감은 의사소통능력(r=.346, p<.001)과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 자아존중감(β=.266, p<.001), 자아정체감(β=.420, p<.001)이 의사소통능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 의사소통능력을 53.2% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다(F=27.156, p<.001). 본 연구 결과, 간호대 신입생의 의사소통능력이 자아정체감, 자아존중감에 따라 달라질 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대 신입생의 의사소통능력을 향상시키기 위해 자아존중감을 높이고 자아정체감을 확립할 수 있는 효율적인 프로그램 개발과 적용이 요구된다.

This study was conducted to investigate lself-esteem, self-identitys, communication skill which influence communication skill ability in nursing students. This was a descriptive survey study. Data were collected using questionnaires from a sample of 207 nursing students. Data were analyzed using frequencies, means, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 21.0. The mean of the score from the communication skills was 3.53. Self-esteem was positively correlated with self-identity (r = .409, p <.001) and communication ability (r = .424, p <.001). Also, there were significant differences in communication skills according to coping experience. communication skills was significantly correlated with self-esteem and self-identity, which were significant predictors (53.2%) of communication skills. In conclusion, to enhance communication skills ability for nursing students, it is necessary to develop program and curriculum for increasing self-esteem, self-identitys.
