한국어 쓰기와 문법의 통합 교육 방안

이 연구의 목적은 한국어를 학습하는 외국인 학습자들이 한국어 쓰기를 할 때 어떻게 한국어 문장을 완성해야 하는지에 대한 고민을 조금이나마 해소하고, 쓰기를 효과적으로 교수-학습하여 실력을 향상시키고자 하는 데 있다. 따라서 쓰기를 할 때 기반이 되는 문법을 어떻게 연계하여 교수-학습해야 하는가에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 쓰기는 모국어로 쓴다고 해서 더 쉽게 쓸 수 있는 것은 아니다. 단순히 어떤 것을 써야 할 지에 대한 생각만으로는 문장을 완성할 수 없기 때문이다. 하물며 외국어로 쓰기를 할 때는 어떤 것을 쓸 것인지에 대한 고민과 더불어 목표어의 어떤 문법과 표현을 사용해서 문장을 완성해야 하는지에 대한 고민도 수반된다. 한국어교육에서 통합 교육이 많이 이루어지고는 있지만 아직 영역별 통합 교육으로 인한 효과적인 학습 결과는 많이 나타나지 않고 있다. 특히 쓰기 영역은 일반적으로 교사가 학습자에게 주제를 제시하면 피드백을 통해 수정이 이루어지는 과정에 의해 이루어진다. 피드백 과정에서 어휘나 문법 등의 오류를 교사가 수정해 줌으로써 학습자가 이를 확인하는 절차를 거치게 된다. 좀 더 효과적인 쓰기 수업을 위해서 먼저 학습자가 자신이 쓰고자 하는 내용을 어떤 문법과 연계해서 써야 좋을 지에 대한 교육이 이루어진다면 오류를 줄일 수 있고, 좀 더 완성도 높은 쓰기를 할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. 따라서 문법 교육 시간에 이루어지는 학습 내용을 쓰기와 연계하여 통합 수업을 모색해 봄으로써 효과적인 쓰기 교육 방법을 마련하고자 한다.

This study aims to relieve foreign learners’ concern over how to complete Korean sentences when writing in Korean a little and to suggest effective writing teaching-learning methods for them to improve abilities. For achieving this purpose, this study is focused on examining how to connect grammar which is the base of writing to teaching-learning. It is not that it is easier to write in a native language. Just thinking of what to write does not help in completing a sentence. Besides, writing in a foreign language is accompanied by a concern about what to write and about which grammar and expression of target language to use to complete a sentence. Although there are a lot of integrated Korean language educations, there is still a shortage of effective learning results from integrated educations in each domain. In the writing domain, especially, modification is done through feedback, once a teacher gives a topic to a learner. During feedback, a teacher modifies errors in vocabulary or grammar and a learner checks this. It is thought that for a more effective writing instruction, if learners are firstly educated about which grammar they have to connect to the contents to write, it would be possible to reduce errors and improve the degree of completion of writing more. This study is, therefore, intended to develop an effective writing education method by exploring an integrated instruction that connects learning contents in grammar education to writing.
