Analysis and Critique of the Standards for Technological Literacy: Content for the study of Technology in the USA technology education

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Standards for Technological Literacy: Content for the study of Technology (STL) in American technology education. The STL in the US was reviewed and analyzed in terms of curriculum sequency, areas, validity, and its strength and weakness were discussed in the study.Findings of the study were as fellow: First of all, core concept from five key areas was extracted. Second, substantial contents of STL s five key areas were analyzed and a sequence of the contents was suggested. Third, improvements about organization and contents of STL s five key areas were suggested.It is expected that analysis of STL in American education and Its Implications contribute to Korean Education in many ways.
