NFC(Natural Fiber-reinforced Composite) as also called WPC(Wood Plastic Composite) is one sort of composites. Composites are made of different kinds of materials and are devised to exert optimum performances. A peculiar aspect of NFC is that it is comprised of organic matrix such as Polyethylene or Polypropylene and reinforcing materials such as lignocellulosic materials ( commonly called as wood flours). NFC is a kind of organic-organic composite. Among the various advantages of NFC, the merit that it can be recycled and it can be made by recycled materials is the most outstanding one. At the beginning of NFC the aspect of its recyclability was accessed more, nowadays the functional advantage of NFC attracts customers. In this article the differences between the standard of NFC decks in Korea and that of ISO are compared and the reasons elucidated.
