신생아중환아실에 입원한 고위험 신생아 어머니의 가족지지와 불안의 관계

The Relationship between the Degrees of Family Support and Anxiety of High Risk Neonate’s Mothers in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

This study has been done for the purpose of determining the relationship between family support and anxiety of High risk Neonate’s Mothers in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The subjects of this study were 80 High risk Neonate’s mothers in NICU at C.U.H and G.U.H in Kwang Ju. city. The data were collected from June 1 to August 30, 2000. The results were summarized as follows; 1. The range of total family support scores was from 22 to 36 and the mean score of that was 30.4. The range of total anxiety scores was from 28 to 84 and the mean score of that was 49.2. 2. In comparison with anxiety scores according to anxiety factors, medical treatment & nursing factor(2.2) showed the highest anxiety scores, followed by neonatal status (2.1), hospital environment (2.1) , Doctor & Nurse s attitude (1.8), ‘home & financial problem’ (1.6) in order. 3. The family support scores showed a inverse correlation with anxiety scores (r=-.221. p=.048). 4. The family support scores showed significant differences in the variables of occupation(t=2.67, p=.009), family number(F=3. 12, p=.049), and intimacy level with husband(t=7.52, p=.007). 5. The total anxiety scores showed a positive correlation with the duration of hospitalization(r=.227, p=.042) and a inverse correlation with the body weight of neonate(r=-.287, p=.010), and showed a significant difference according to the use of Incubator(t=2.53, p=.013)
