비행청소년의 성관련 행위와 성지식에 관한 연구

A Survey of Sexual Behavior and Knowledge of Juvenile Delinquence Adolescents

The purpose of this study was to investigate of the sexual behavior and knowledge of delinquence adolescents and to provide basic data for sex education. Data were collected by self-report from 164 delinquence adolescents of the juvenile protection and education organizations in Gwangju city from May 14 to 16, 2003 in Korea. The results were as follows; The concern of subjects on sexual education was pregnancy, delivery and miscarriage (17.4%), date with boy-girl friends (13.9%) and sexually transmitted disease. AIDS (13.1%). The experiences of sexual behavior was contact pornography (89.0%), masturbation (75.6%), sexual intercourse (73.8%), sexual desire (64.0%) and experience of the cohabitation with girl friend (64.0%). There were statistically significant differences between education level and habitual glue sniffing (p<O.05), drug addiction (p<O.01), abortion (p<O.01). There were statistically significant differences between age and drug addiction (p<O.05), pregnancy (p<O.01), abortion (p<O.01), experience of the cohabitation with girl friend (p<O.01). There were statistically significant differences between religion and sexual intercourse (p<O.01). The average score for sexual knowledge was 13.19 than higher last year. There were statistically significant correlation between sex knowledge and education level (p<O.05), contraception (p<O.05), sexual transmitted disease (p<O.05), masturbation (p<O.01), sexual desire (p<O.05). In conclusion, juvenile delinquence adolescents exposure risks related to sexual activity than other adolescents. Therefore, more attention needs to be paid to sex education of them. It is also necessary to develop reliable sex education programs that are suitable for the situation of juvenile delinquence adolescents.
