국제결혼 이해 증진과 건강한 한국의 다문화 사회 구축

Increasing Understanding International Marriages and Strategies of Harmonius MuIticuItural Society in Korea

2000년 전후로 불균형한 성 비례, 글로벌 트렌드, 농촌 총각들의 비호감등인 이유로 급격히 국제결혼 가정이 증가하기 시작했다. 증가하는 다문화 인구를 실감하며 미래의 한국 다문화 사회를 최소의 부작용과 최고의 장점을 살리기 위해 정부 각처에서 분주하게 재조정을 하며 새로운 다문화 사회로 구축하는데 속도를 내고 있다. 다른 다문화 인구들도 중요한 대상이 되겠지만 다문화 가정 혹은 국제결혼 가정의 올바른 이해와 적합한 지지는 조화로운 다문화 사회를 형성하는데 우선 순위에 놓여져야 한다. 가정이란 축소된 사회와 같은 복합체이고 건강한 사회의 뿌리는 건강한 가정에서 출발하기 때문이다. 현재 한국 사회의 안정된 다문화 사회를 기대하기엔 이른 시기 이지만 다문화 정책 향방을 점검하고 개선할 점을 짚어볼 필요가 있다. 이 논문은 한국의 다문화 사회 실태와 진로 정책 개선체재를 재정립하는데 의의가 있다.

After 2000，international marriage couples have increased dramatically due to imbalance of gender ratio in countryside in Korea. Korean women have avoided marrying farmers and have escape to urban communities. The Korean government has realized that the nation as a “Dan II Min Jok” doesn’t exist any longer and has begun to accept itself as a multicultural nation since 2005. To maximize the multicultural society’s merit, Korean government is accelerating the multicultural programs for both foreign- born spouses and Korean family members to ease unnecessary conflicts due to lack of understanding of each others culture. Because family is the root of healthy society, it’s very important to build healthy multicultural families. It’s still too early to actualize the harmonious multicultural nation we seek, yet we have to make sure if we are going in the right direction to lead to a bright multicultural society. This paper explains where we stand as a multicultural society and the ways to build harmonious multicultural society in Korea.
