초등학생의 학교스포츠클럽 활동 참여에 따른 학교생활 변화

Changes of School Life Caused by the Participation in an Elementary School Sports Club

본 연구는 초등학생의 학교스포츠클럽 활동 참여에 따라 교우관계와 교사와의 관계에서 나타나는 학교생활 변화를 알아보기 위한 연구로 Y초등학교 플라잉디스크 그룹에서 출석률이 좋고 성실하게 참여하며 연구에 긍정적인 반응을 보인 학생들 중 연령, 성별, 스포츠클럽경력 등을 고려하여 선정한 6명을 대상으로 집단초점면접, 심층 면담, 비참여적 관찰 등의 연구 방법을 진행하였다. 교우관계와 교사와의 관계에서 나타나는 학교생활 변화를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교우관계에서 나타난 새로운 인식으로는 자신감, 규칙준수, 타인존중, 역할수행, 관심사 공유, 소중한 추억, 칭찬과 위로, 취미 생활, 폭넓은 교우관계 등이 있었다. 둘째, 교사와의 관계에서 나타난 긍정적인 변화로는 신뢰, 기대감, 편안함, 서로에 대한 이해, 상담사, 감사함 등이 있었다. 본 연구는 학교스포츠클럽에 참여하는 학생들이 스포츠를 즐기고 또 자발적으로 참여하는 평생 스포츠인으로 성장하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는 데 본 연구의 가치를 두고 있다.

The purpose of the study was to identify changes in school life in relation to friendship and teacher relations among elementary school students participating in school sports club activities. Focus group interviews, in-depth interviews, and nonparticipating observations were conducted with six students in a flying disk club at Y elementary school. The results of this study are as follows: First, new perceptions of friendship have emerged such as self-confidence, compliance with rules, respect for others, role performance, sharing of interests, precious memories, praise and consolation, hobby life, and a wide circle of friendships. Second, positive changes in relationships with teachers have been reported in terms of trust, expectation, comfort, mutual understanding, counselor, and gratitude.
