중도 지적장애인의 다면적 평가를 위한 ICF Core Set 개발: 현장전문가 면담을 통한 항목 추출을 중심으로

Development of the ICF Core Set for Multidimensional Evaluation of Persons with Severe Intellectual Disabilities: Focusing on Item Extraction through Interviews with Field Experts

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 중도 지적장애인의 다면적 평가를 위한 ICF Core Set을 개발하는 것으로 현장전문가와의 면담을 통해 4개 영역의 항목을 추출하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 연구 참여자는 중도 지적장애인을 5년 이상 지도한 경험이 있는 현장전문가 10명이다. 면담 기간은 2017년 9월에서 11월까지 약 2개월이 소요되었다. 면담 질문지는 WHO(2001)가 공표한 ICF 분류체계의 신체기능 및 신체구조, 활동과 참여, 환경요인의 4개 영역에 대한 중도 지적장애인의 특성, 능력과 수행 정도, 지원의 정도를 알아보는 내용으로 구성하였다. 면담자료는 연구 참여자의 동의를 구해 모두 녹음한 후 필사본으로 전사한 다음 4개 영역으로 유형화하였다. 연구결과: 중도 지적장애인의 다면적 평가를 위한 ICF Core Set 개발에 포함되어야 할 항목으로 총 149개가 추출되었다. 영역별로는 신체기능이 57개 항목, 신체구조는 11개 항목, 활동과 참여는 51개 항목, 환경요인은 30개 항목이 각각 추출되었다. 논의 및 결론: 향후 본 연구에서 추출한 항목의 중요도를 평정하기 위하여 2차에 걸친 델파이 조사를 실시하여 중도 지적장애인의 다면적 평가를 위한 포괄형 및 단축형 ICF Core Set을 개발할 것이다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify evaluation items through interviews with field experts in order to develop ICF Core Set for multidisciplinary evaluation of persons with severe intellectual disabilities. Method: The study participants were 10 field experts with more than five years of experience instructing persons with severe intellectual disabilities. The interview period took about two months from September to November 2017. The interview questionnaire was designed to understand the abilities and performance of persons with severe intellectual disabilities in the 4 areas(body function and structure, activities and participation, environmental factors, contextual factors) of the ICF system suggested by WHO(2001). The interview data were recorded and transferred to the transcripts with the consent of study participants, and the data were categorized into 4 areas under triangulation method. Results: A total of 149 items were extracted to be included in the development of the ICF Core Set for the multidisciplinary evaluation of persons with severe intellectual disabilities. There were 57 items on body functions, 11 items on body structures, 51 items on activities and participation, 30 items on environmental factors. Conclusion: Hereafter, a two-phase Delphi survey will be conducted to assess the importance of items extracted from this study, while developing a comprehensive and shortened version of ICF Core Set for multidisciplinary evaluation of persons with severe intellectual disabilities.
