점자출판시설 현황 분석에 관한 연구 -점자도서관을 중심으로-

Analysis on Current Conditions of Braille Materials Publishing Facilities: Focused on the Braille Libraries

본 연구는 39개 점자출판시설을 대상으로 현황을 파악하기 위하여 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 운영 및 설비, 사업, 인력으로 크게 나누어 현황을 분석하였다. 시설의 확장과 기본 장비 및 소프트웨어의 구비 등 제작 여건의 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 제작 및 출판 점자자료는 점자 명함, 점자 도서, 외부 의뢰 점자 간행물, 개인 의뢰자료 순으로 많았다. 인력 현황에 있어서 직원은 대부분 다양한 업무를 겸직으로 수행하고 있었으며, 점역ㆍ교정사가 없는 시설도 있었다. 결론적으로 점자출판시설과 인력의 특수성을 반영하여 어려움을 해결할 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 시설 상호간 제작의 표준화, 시스템 구축을 위한 체계적 협력, 점자출판시설 인증제(가칭) 도입 등의 필요성을 제안하였다.

This study surveyed thirty-nine braille materials publishing facilities and analyzed current conditions in terms of equipment, business, and human resources. Regarding equipment, the results showed that the production condition of braille publications should be improved by expanding facilities and purchasing the necessary equipment and software. Regarding business, the facilities produced and published many braille materials in the order of name cards in braille, braille books, braille publications requested by outsider clients, and braille materials requested by individuals. Regarding human resources, the majority of employees held multiple jobs, and certain facilities did not employ braille transcribers and proofreaders. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop a problem solution which reflects specificity in braille materials publishing facilities and their human resources. The study suggested standardization of production among the facilities, a systematic collaboration for the system development, and the adoption of a certificate system for facilities that publish braille material.
