‘학부모에 대한 교사효능감’ 연구: 필요성과 가능성 탐색

A Study on ‘Teachers’ Self-Efficacy toward Parents’: Exploring the Necessities and Possibilities

본 연구는 학부모와 교사의 파트너십 형성 및 유지를 위해 ‘학부모에 대한 교사효능감’이 어떠한 역할을 할 수 있을지 그 필요성과 가능성을 탐색하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 자기효능감, 교사효능감에 대한 선행연구들을 토대로 학부모에 대한 교사효능감의 개념과 특성을 파악하였다. 또한 강원도 지역 초․중․고 교사 584명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 교사의 배경변인, 학부모 관련 업무에서의 교사의 심리적 반응, 학부모 관련 업무에 대한 교사의 인식과 학부모에 대한 교사효능감의 관련성을 분석하였고, 교사 배경변인과 교사효능감이 학부모와의 파트너십 인식을 어느 정도 설명할 수 있는지 검증하였다. 그 결과, 학부모에 대한 교사효능감은 성별, 학교급별로 차이가 나타났으며, 학부모 관련 업무에 대한 정서적 반응과도 일부 연관성이 드러났다. 더불어 학부모 관련 업무는 학부모에 대한 교사효능감을 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났으며, 학부모에 대한 교사효능감이 학부모와 교사의 파트너십을 유의미하게 설명할 수 있을 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과들을 토대로 학부모와 교사의 파트너십 향상에 학부모에 대한 교사효능감 연구가 주는 시사점을 논의하였으며, 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the necessity and possibility of research on the role of teachers’ self-efficacy toward parents for the formation and maintenance of partnerships between parents and teachers (school). To this end, the concepts and characteristics of teachers’ self-efficacy toward parents were identified through previous studies on self-efficacy and teachers’ self-efficacy. In addition, a survey of 584 elementary, middle, and high school teachers in Kangwon province was conducted to analyze the relationships with background variables of the teachers, the teachers opinions about the parents related tasks, and the relevance of the teachers’ self-efficacy toward parents. As a result, teachers’ self-efficacy toward parents differed by gender, school grade, and teachers career, and showed some significant relations with emotional reaction to parent-related work. In addition, teachers’ self-efficacy toward parents was significantly explaining the teachers’ sense of the partnership between parents and teachers, Based on the results of this study, the implications of the study on teachers’ self-efficacy toward parents and improving the partnerships between parents and teachers were discussed, and suggested the limitations of this study and the subsequent research.
