텔레비전 드라마에 나타난 새로운 가족의 형태 연구

The Study of the New Types of Family on Popular Television Drama

이번 연구의 목적은 시청률이 높은 텔레비전 드라마에서 묘사된 가족의 형태에 대해서 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 전통적인 가족제도의 변화양상을 파악하며 나아가 전통적인 가족의 형태로 담겨지기 어렵지만 점차 증가하고 있는 가족의 형태와 의미에 대해서 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 시청률이 높은 인기 드라마는 현실의 변화를 반영하거나 그러한 트렌드를 예측할 수 있다고 전제하며 드라마에서 나타난 가족제도에 대해서 어떻게 받아들이고 또한 어떠한 사회적 지지나 지원등이 필요한지에 대해서도 예측해 보는 것도 부수적으로 제안하였다. 이와 같은 분석을 위해서 연구자는 2005년부터 2014년까지 지상파 채널에서 방영된 드라마 중 아침드라마, 단막극, 특집극을 제외한 드라마 중에서 남녀관계나 가족/사회가 주로 표현된 드라마를 선정하여 가족의 다양한 형태를 조사하였다. 그 결과 현재의 드라마는 전통적인 의미의 대가족의 구성이 약화되어 해체의 위기에 있음이 드러났으며, 혼외관계로 인한 가족의 재구성, 다문화가족, 동성커플 및 1인 가구 트렌드가 확산되고 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the family types shown in the popular dramas with high viewing rates. Based on results, the researcher studied how the traditional family types had changed and further the newly introduced family types that the traditional family type does not belong to. The television drama with high viewing rates represents the change of reality and predicts the trend and how the newly introduced family types in the drama was accepted in the society and such social supports or subsidy were needed. This is additionary suggested. The results showed that that traditional big family type was decreased while the new types of family such as living-together family, single father or mother family, the adoption family, and the same-sex couple. These new types of families were observed frequently from 2005 to 2011 in the 236 popular television dramas. The results showed that the traditional family has been diminished and this trend is well described in the dramas and it also represented the societal changes in South Korea.
