한국형 12성품교육이 예비유아교사의 인성에 미치는 효과성

The Influence of the Korean-style 12-character Education on the Personality of Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers

본 연구는 한국형 12성품교육이 예비유아교사의 인성에 미치는 효과성을 알아보는 데에 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 경기도 평택시 소재 K대학교 유아교육과에 재학 중인 1, 2학년 예비유아교사 45명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 paired t-test와 Correlation(상관관계분석)을 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국형 12성품교육은 예비유아교사들의 12성품 즉, 인성을 향상시키는 데 있어 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한국형 12성품교육 후 예비교사들의 12성품은 KEDI 인성검사 결과와 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 이런 연구결과를 볼 때, 12성품교육은 유아교육 현장에서 인성교육 정책 수립뿐만 아니라 인성교육에 대한 구체적 내용을 계획하고 수립하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the Korean-style 12-character education upon pre-service early childhood teachers. To achieve this research objective, it targeted 45 pre-service early childhood teachers as freshmen and sophomores who are attending the Department of Early Childhood Education at K university where is located in Pyeongtaek city of Gyeonggi Province. The collected data were carried out paired t-test and Correlation by using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The results are as follows. First, the Korean-style 12-character education was indicated to have positive influence upon improving twelve dispositions, namely, personalities of the pre-service early childhood teachers. Second, following the Korean-style 12-character education, the twelve characters in the pre-service early childhood teachers showed high correlation with the outcome of KEDI personality test. In light of these findings, the 12-character education is expected to be likely able to be utilized as basic data in planning and establishing the specific contents on personality education as well as in making a personality education policy in the field of early childhood education.
