Needs Analysis on Seowon University affiliated kindergarten

The purpose of this study is to analyze the demand for university affiliated kindergarten in local community. In order to analyze the demand rate for areal university affiliated kindergarten, 116 citizens in Cheongju raising children under age of 5 were interviewed as participants of the study. The collected interviews could be interpreted to three major analysis. First, the citizens showed demand for Seowon university affiliated kindergarten. Also, as the reason for enrolling children to university affiliated kindergarten, the participants answered that university affiliated kindergarten is trustworthy since it is administrated by university. The expectations for university affiliated kindergartens were alleviating child care needs, managing high quality of teachers and unique curriculum. Second, the citizens were expecting the university affiliated kindergarten to develop own education programs including personality education, creativity education, nature friendship educations such as forest education, raising animals and walking. Third, the citizens were expecting the university affiliated kindergarten to run kindergarten private bus, full day classes and the expected size of the kindergarten was to have under 7 classes.
