The present study was aimed to investigate the flora of woody plants in school forest of Seowon university and to suggest the plant education course for pre-service biology teachers based on the botanical properties. Totally, 86 species of woody plants with 16 species of gymnosperm and 70 species of angiosperm grow in the school forest. The flora of woody plants in the school forest can provide the students with the chance to observe various botanical properties of such as unisexual or bisexual flowers, gamopetalous or schizopetalous corolla, apocarpous or syncarpous carpel, superior or inferior ovary, inflorescence, fruits, phyllotaxis, leaf shapes, leaf margins, and leaf division. Based on the school forest map of woody plants in Seowon university, several education courses for pre-service biology teachers are suggested.
