In this study, the biology domain and the biodiversity unit in the 2015 revised curriculum were summarized and analysed. The attempt to lead the class to the student activity centered was particularly noticeable especially in the research activities and in the assessment of research activities. Lots of changes could be observed in the contents and the achievement standards in 2015 revised curriculum. The concept of biodiversity will be introduced in the 7th graders textbook and to explain its concept the term gene and species should be mentioned and the definition of the terms are to be mentioned in later chapter or even in 10th grade. The guidelines for the explanation of the terms gene and species in the biodiversity chapter would have been better if presented.
