통일시대 대비 남북통합적 사회과 교수․학습 방안 모색

South-North unified Teaching-Learning Methods in Social Studies for unification age

This study gropes for methods of South-North unified teaching and learning in Social Studies. So I analyzed the characters of South-Korea Social Studies textbooks and North-Korea Social Studies textbooks. North-Korea textbooks emphasize socialist system, groupism, idolization of Kim Il Sung s family, and vicious slander on capitalism, South-Korea. South-Korea textbooks emphasize social science knowledge, dispassionate information, and the necessity of South-North unification. So there is scarcely any mutual exchange of against system s information between south and north Korea in Social Studies textbooks, especially North-Korea textbooks. Therefore, I suggest as follows preparing for unification era of south and north Korea. I recommend various teaching and learning methods such as multi-cultural education, inquiry investigation learning, comparison learning of south and north Korea, discussion learning, controversial issue instruction. Also, four education content domains for internal integrating between south and north Korea are of key importance. I introduced modifications as South-North perspectives, cross-cultural awareness, South-North systems, and South-North problems and issues. Those are originally developed with global education content domains by Hyunduk Kim and et.(2005). So Social Studies should deal with balanced content domains for internal unification of South-North Korea.
