액션 러닝을 활용한 ‘초등도덕과교육’의 교수-학습 사례 연구 - 초등학교 도덕수업의 문제점과 대안을 중심으로 -

A Case Study on Teaching-Learning in ‘Elementary Moral Education’ Applying Action Learning : Focussed on Problems and Alternatives in Elementary Moral Lessons

이 글은 ‘초등도덕과교육’ 강좌에서 활용하였던 액션 러닝의 주제, ‘훌륭한 도덕수업을 위하여’ 의 제1라운드인 ‘초등학교 도덕수업의 문제점’을 분석한 것이다. ‘액션 러닝(action learning)’은 경영학 분야에서 도입되어 강의실에서의 이론과 현장에서의 실제문제 해결을 연계시킨 것으로, 팀 활동에 중심을 두고 문제를 해결해 가는 과정을 중시하는 참여활동수업이라고 볼 수 있다. 이러 한 액션 러닝을 활용한 ‘초등도덕과교육’ 수업은, 예비교사들이 2주간의 참관실습 동안 초등학교 현장 도덕수업의 문제점을 조별로 직접 조사·분석하고, 훌륭한 도덕수업을 위해 어떻게 수업하여야 하는지 구상하여 발표하는 데까지 연결되도록 구안되었다. 이 글은 도덕과의 위상에 대한 성찰을 토대로, 예비교사들이 조별로 조사하여 분석 발표한 ‘초등학교 도덕수업의 문제점’을 종 합 분석해 봄으로써, 필자가 예비교사들에게 교육하고자 하는 훌륭한 도덕수업의 방향과 대안을 찾아본 것이다. 문제점은 네 가지, (1)도덕수업에 대한 초등학생들의 인식, (2)초등학생들이 좋아 하는 수업과 실제 수업의 괴리, (3)현실과 괴리된 수업 내용의 문제, (4)교사들의 도덕수업에 대한 인식을 중심으로 분석하였고, 이에 대한 대안으로 세 가지를 제시하였다. 첫째, 재미있고 감동적 인 수업 방법 모색, 둘째, 현실을 반영하고 도덕적 상상력을 자극하는 수업내용 구성, 셋째, 교사 교육과 재교육의 중요성이 그것이다. 1차시 40분으로 이루어지는 초등학교 도덕수업의 성공에는 다양한 요인들이 복합적으로 작용하겠지만, 도덕 교과에 대한 교사의 확신과 도덕수업의 목표·내용·방법에 대한 교사의 철학적 성찰과 고민을 통하여 살아 있는 도덕수업이 되도록 하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the problems of moral lessons in an elementary school. I gave lecture on the name of elementary moral education with for the good moral lesson as its theme applying action learning as a teaching method. The important methods of the action learning is team playing, solving the given task, and linking the practical question. I planned three grounds for this aim my lecture. This study consists of contents that my students search the problem of the practical elementary moral teaching in the first ground during inspection practical training for two weeks. Four problems of moral lessons I pointed out are (1)Elementary students perception of moral lesson, (2)Difference between lesson students like and practical lesson, (3)The problem of contents being out of touch with reality, and (4)Teacher s understanding of moral lesson. This paper proposes three ideas for the good moral lesson. First of all, searching for the interesting and moving moral lesson. Second of all, composing lesson contents that is practical and stimulating students moral imagination. Third of all, education for primary teachers and retraining for teachers. The most important condition of success is teacher s conviction and passion of moral lesson among everything.
