고등학교 수학익힘책의 활용 실태 분석

An Analysis of the Facts as to How Exercise Books of High School Mathematics Activities Have Been used Since 2009

본 연구내용을 간략하게 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 학교 현장에서 수학익힘책의 활용 실태 파악 및 분석 2. 수학익힘책의 수학교육에 미치는 효과 분석 본 연구에서 제주시 지역 일반계 고등학교 2개교, 전문계 고등학교 2개교, 서귀포시 지역 일반 계 고등학교 2개교 1학년 202명의 학생들과, 고등학교 1학년 수학 담당 교사 42명을 대 상으로 설문 조사를 한 결과, 수학익힘책을 활용한 수준별 이동수업 시, 기존의 비수준별 수 업에서 오는 결함이 많이 줄어든 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 상위 수준에 있는 학생들에게는 심화 형 문제를 제공하 여 지적 호기심을 충족시키고, 하위 수준에 있는 학생들에게는 보충형 문항 을 제공하여 수학에 대한 흥미를 유발시켜 학습 보조 자료로서의 효과적인 역할을 하고 있 음을 알 수 있다. 또한 국 가 수준의 수학익힘책을 만들어 학교 현장에 보급함으로서 교사의 학습 자료 개발에 드는 부담을 덜어 주었고, 수학익힘책을 활용한 교육이 수학교육 및 자기 주도적 학습에 긍정적인 영향을 미 치고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서 공교육의 정상화 와 사교육비 절감의 효과가 있을 것으 로 기대된다.

Exercise books of Mathematics Activities have been used in secondary schools since 2009 to activate the levelled math classes divided according to students academic achievements. It is important to use them effectively in a class so that students can take part in a classwork more actively; students can be eager to tackle to step-by-step exercises in math anywhere by themselves; parents can save their costs for the education in private academies or tutors; and teachers can help students and their parents feel more satisfied with the education in schools. Thus, this thesis aims for analyzing the effects on math education and making some suggestions for students more academic achievements in math. This study is composed of 3 sections as follows: 1. Survey of preceded studies on the selection and organization of contents as well as the orientation of development and the system of components in such exercise books in math as Mathematics Activities 2. Research and analysis of the facts as to how exercise books of Mathematics Activities have been used since 2009 to activate levelled math classes 3. Analysis of the effects that exercise books of Mathematics Activities have had on math education in high schools in Jeju. Throughout the analysis of questionnaires given to not only 202 students in 2 academic and 2 vocational high schools in Jeju city as well as 2 academic high schools in Seogwipo city, but also 42 math teachers, it is proved, on this study, that such exercise book as Mathematics Activities has played an important role, as a supplement for a textbook, in both meeting advanced learners curiosity and motivating slow learners to keep studying math with a series of from-easy-to-challenging questions. In addition, there are the other benefits as follows: thanks to such nationwide exercise book as Mathematics Activities made by national reliable authors, not merely teachers in a school have been able to save some efforts and costs to be spent making teaching materials, but teaching math with such exercise book as Mathematics Activities has had a good effect on students studying math by themselves and teachers teaching math effectively. Thus, students and their parents are expected to save their costs for math education in private academies or tutors because they all feel satisfied with public education so that they can depend on it.
