중학교 기술·가정 교과서의 정보통신기술 단원에 제시된 유명인 분석

Analysis of Famous People Presented in the Information and Communication Technology Unit of Middle School Technology and Home Economics Textbooks

이 연구의 목적은 최근 국내에서 출판된 중학교 기술・가정 교과서의 정보통신기술 단원에 제시된 유명인을 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2009 개정 교육과정 및 2015 개정 교육과정 기술․가정 교과서의 정보통신기술 단원에 제시된 83개 유명인 이름이 포함되어 있는 삽화를 분석 대상으로 하였다. 이 연구에서 사용한 연구 방법은 선행 연구를 참조하여 이 연구의 목적에 맞게 수정한 분석 방법을 이용하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정보통신기술과 관련된 매우 제한된 고전적인 인물이 제시되고 있었다. 정보통신기술 단원에 제시된 주요 유명인의 이름은 벨, 모스, 마르코니, 구텐베르크 등 이었다. 또한, 정보통신기술과 관련된 유명인은 대부분 서양인이었으며, 성별은 모두 남자라는 특징이 있었다. 둘째, 두 교육과정에서 유명인 특징의 제시 유형은 거의 유사하였다. 이에 연구자는 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로, 교과서에 실린 유명인들이 주는 교육적 시사점과 향후 정보통신기술 단원의 집필 방향 등에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the famous people presented in the information and communication technology unit of middle school technology and home economics textbooks recently published in Korea. To do this, 83 illustrations presented in the information and communication technology units of the last two curriculums were analyzed. The researcher used analytical methods that revised and supplemented the methods of previous studies. The results of this study are described as follow. First, a very limited historical famous people related to information and communication technology has been presented. The main figures for famous historical were Bell, Moss, Marconi, and Gutenberg. Most famous people related to information and communication technology were westerners, and all were males. Second, the type of characteristics of famous people were similar in two curriculum. Based on the results, the researcher suggested implications for the future direction of the information and communication technology unit.
