고등학생의 내면화된 수치심과 진로미결정의 관계 -진로결정 어려움 관련 정서 및 성격특성(EPCD)의 매개효과 분석-

The relationship between Internalized Shame and Career Indecision in High school Students: Mediation effect of Emotional and Personality related to Career Difficulties(EPCD)

본 연구에서는 고등학생의 내면화된 수치심과 진로미결정의 관계에서 진로결정 어려움 관련 정서 및 성격특성(이후 EPCD)의 매개 효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국 9개 지역의 남녀 일반계 고등학생 700명을 대상으로 자기보고식 질문지를 활용하여 설문을 실시하였고, 수집된 자료에 대해 각 변인 간 상관분석과 구조방정식을 통한 매개 효과 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 내면화된 수치심은 EPCD과 정적 상관이 있으며, EPCD는 진로미결정과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 구조방정식 분석결과, 내면화된 수치심이 진로미결정을 예측하는 경로에서 EPCD가 완전매개 효과를 보였다. 종합하면, 한국의 고등학생들은 내면화된 수치심이 높을수록 진로결정 어려움 관련 정서 및 성격특성을 형성할 가능성이 높고, 이에 따라 결과적으로 진로미결정 수준이 높을 수 있다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 진로상담에서의 시사점을 논하였다.

This study will identify the mediation effect of emotional and personality related to career difficulties (EPCD) on the relationship between internalized shame and career indecision in high school students. For this purpose, a self-reporting questionnaire was distributed to to 700 students from 9 different regions of South Korea to measure students’ internalized shame, EPCD and Career indecision. The collected data was analyzed by means of correlation analysis between each variable and mediation effect through structural equation. As a result, First, between internalized shame and EPCD indicated ositive correlation and also a similar result was suggested between EPCD and career indecision. Second, as a result of the structural equation analysis, EPCD showed a complete mediated effect in the influence of internationalized shame on the career indecision. The results explained the higher internalized shame of Korean high school students experience and the higher the possibility of emotional and personality related Career Difficulties (EPCD) which will lead to career indecision. Based on this result, the implication of career counseling was also discussed.
