수학교과역량의 초등학교 교과서 적용 실태 분석: 2015 개정 교육과정을 중심으로

An Analysis of Actual Application of Primary Mathematics Textbooks in Respect to Core Competency: Focused on the 2015 Revision Curriculum

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정에 따라 개발된 초등학교 수학교과서의 수학교과역량 적용 실태를 분석하여 수학교육에 시사점을 제공하고자 수행되었다. 분석 대상은 초등학교 1-2학년군 수학교과서 4권이며, 분석 기준은 개정 교육과정 문서에 제시된 수학교과역량 6가지와 그 하위 요소를 연구의 목적에 맞게 부호화하여 제시하였다. 분석 결과, 문제해결 역량과 태도 및 실천 역량의 적용 비율은 높은 편이었으나, 정보처리, 의사소통, 추론, 창의‧융합 등 4개의 역량의 적용 비율은 높지 않았다. 특히, 추론 역량과 창의‧융합 역량의 적용 비율은 각각 7%대로 낮은 편이었다. 따라서 교육현장에서는 정당화 능력이나 연결성 능력 등을 신장시킬 수 있는 수업 실천을 강조함으로써 학생들이 추론 역량과 창의‧융합 역량을 기를 수 있도록 노력해야 한다. 또한 학생들의 의사소통 역량 향상을 위하여 탐구활동이나 수학 게임 코너 등에 학습자 간의 상호작용을 유도하는 장치를 마련하고, 정보처리 역량의 향상을 위하여 학생들이 직접 자료를 수집하고 정리하고 분석하는 활동을 강조할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to provide implications for mathematics education by analyzing the actual application of primary-math-textbooks of the revision 2015 curriculum in Korea. The subjects of analysis are four math-textbooks of primary 1-2 grade. The analytical criteria was made of six core competencies and sub-elements presented in the revised math-curriculum documents. As a result of the analysis, the problem solving competency and attitude & practice competency were high, but the application ratio of the four competencies such as information processing, communication, reasoning, creative & convergence was not high. In particular, reasoning competency and creativity & convergence competency were as low as about 7%. Therefore, math-teachers need to practice their lessons that enhance justification ability and connection ability to improve students’ reasoning competency and creative & convergence competency. Moreover, in order to increase the communication competency, it is necessary to provide a device for inducing interaction among learners in inquiry activities and mathematical game corner. In order to improve the information processing competency, it is needed to emphasize the activity of collecting, organizing and analyzing data directly.
