전문대 학생의 전자책 독서 인식에 관한 연구

A Study on the Recognition of E-Book Reading of College Students

이 연구는 취업을 목적으로 하는 전문대학생의 전자책에 대한 독서 인식과 이용행태에 관한 전자책 서비스 만족도를 분석하여 향후 도서관의 전자책 서비스 개선방향을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 수도권 소재의 A전문대학 재학생을 대상으로 도서관 이용, 전자책 서비스 이용, 종이책과 전자책의 비교 등에 대하여 설문조사를 시행하였다. 설문조사 결과에서 전자책을 이용한 경험이 없었던 비율이 48.1%이었다. 이용하지 않는 이유는 전자책에 대한 인식의 부족과 종이책이 편함, 눈의 피로 순이었다. 응답자의 62.1%가 종이책을 더 선호하였으며 내용의 질, 화면구성, 신간도서가 전자책 이용에 영향을 주었다. 전자책을 온라인으로 이용한다는 응답이 94%였다. 그 반면, 자료의 부족과 화면으로 인해 이용하지 않는다고 응답하였다. 전자책 서비스에 대한 만족도는 보통 이상인 것으로 조사되었다. 이 연구의 분석 결과를 토대로 전자책 서비스 활성화를 위하여 이용자 교육과 홍보, 적극적인 수서정책, 전담인력의 보완 등을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the improvement direction of e-book service in the future by analyzing the satisfaction of e-book service about recognition and usage behavior of e-books of professional college students for employment. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the students of A college using library, e-book service, comparison of books and e – books. In the survey results, 48.1% of them did not use e-books. The reasons for not using it were the lack of awareness of e-books, the ease of paper books, and the fatigue of eyes. 62.1% of the respondents preferred paper books, and the quality of contents, composition of screen, and new books affected the use of electronic books. 94% of respondents said that they use e-books online. On the other hand, I did not use it due to lack of data and screen. Satisfaction with e-book service was found to be higher than average. Based on the results of this study, we suggested user education and publicity, aggressive acquisition policy, and supplementation of dedicated manpower to activate e-book service.
