어린이집 선정에 대한 영아 어머니의 경험

An Experience of Infant‘s Mother on Selecting Daycare center

본 연구는 영아 어머니들이 어린이집에 가지는 기대는 어떠하며, 어린이집 선정 방법과 기준 및 선정 과정에서 느끼는 어려움이 무엇인지를 분석함으로써 영아 어머니들이 어린이집 선정의 지침과 기준을 지원하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 경기도 P시에서 어린이집에 재원 중인 영아의 어머니 10명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였으며 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영아 어머니들은 어린이집이 제 2의 가정이 되기를 바랐으며 영아의 사회성 증진의 장 및 어머니의 재충전을 돕는 피난처의 역할이 되기를 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영아 어머니는 어린이집 선정 시 지역적으로 가까운 위치를 선호하는 것으로 나타났고, 다양한 정보 수집 방법을 통해 결정하며, 좋은 인성을 지닌 어린이집 교직원을 보고 선정하는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 어린이집 선정 시 어려움으로는 부족한 자리와 어린이집에 대한 불충분한 정보, 좋은 어린이집 기준에 대한 모호성을 경험하고 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to support infant’s mother how the expectation of infant mothers for the day care center and what the difficulties they have are in the way, criteria and process of selection. The results of the in - depth interviews of 10 infant s mothers who were in the daycare centers in P city of Gyeonggi - do were as follows. First, infants mothers wanted daycare centers to become second homes, and they expected them to play a role in promoting the social skills of infants and as shelters to help their mothers recharge. Second, infant mothers prefered location close to their homes when selecting a daycare center, decided through various information collection methods, and that they feel good emotions in the good personality of the teachers of daycare centers. Third, the difficulty in choosing a daycare center was experiencing a lack of space, inadequate information on daycare centers, and ambiguity about good daycare standards.
