부부친밀감과 가족지지가 노년기 배우자 부양의식에 미치는 영향 중년세대와 노년세대의 비교를 중심으로

The Effect of Marital Intimacy and Family Support on Awareness of Spousal Caregiving in Old Age: Focused on Comparison Between the Middle Aged and the Old Aged

본 연구에서는 중년 세대(45세에서 64세)와 노년 세대(65세 이상)를 대상으로 하여 첫째, 중년 세대와 노년 세대간의 부부 친밀감, 배우자 부양의식, 가족 지지의 차이를 살펴보고, 둘째, 중년 세대와 노년 세대의 부부 친밀감과 가족 지지가 배우자 부양의식에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 파악하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2018년 7월부터 8월까지 충남에 거주하고 있는 45세에서 64세의 중년 세대와, 65세 이상의 노년 세대를 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였고, 최종적으로 중년 세대 200명의 데이터와 노년 세대 200명의 데이터를 분석에 활용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 중년 세대와 노년 세대의 배우자 부양의식은 상당히 높았으나 집단 간 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 중년 세대의 배우자에 대한 인지적 친밀감과 정서적 친밀감이 노년 세대에 비해서 더 높았다. 둘째, 중년 세대와 노년 세대 배우자 지지가 배우자 부양의식에 미치는 영향력이 가장 컷으며, 중년 세대는 인지적 친밀감만이, 노년 세대는 인지적 친밀감과 성적친밀감이 배우자 부양의식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to examine, first, the differences of marital intimacy, awareness of spousal caregiving, and family support between the middle-aged (45 to 64 years old) and the old aged (65 years old or older), and secondly, to investigate the relative influence of marital intimacy and family support of the middle-aged and the old aged on awareness of spousal caregiving. For the purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted in July and August of 2018 with the middle-aged (45 to 64 years old) and the old aged (65 years old or older) who reside in Chungnam as target. Finally, data from 200 middle-aged elderly and data from 200 old aged elderly were utilized for analysis. The results of the study were as follows: First, awareness of spousal caregiving of the middle aged and the old aged was fairly high, but the difference between the two groups was not significant. Cognitive intimacy and emotional intimacy of the middle-aged for their spouses were higher than those of the old aged. Second, spousal support of the middle aged and the old aged had the greatest impact on awareness of spousal caregiving. Among the middle aged, only the cognitive intimacy had a positive effect on awareness of spousal caregiving whereas, among the old aged, cognitive intimacy and sexual intimacy had a positive effect on awareness of spousal caregiving.
