McDowell’s Naturalism and the Disenchanted Nature

맥도웰의 자연주의는 다음 세 가지 실책에 근거하고 있다. (1) 개념적 자발성과 규범성이 초자연적 플라톤주의를 함축한다고 생각하고 있다. 그러나 이것은 인식적 차원과 존재적 차원을 혼동하는 것이다. (2) 맥도웰의 자연주의가 의존하고 있는 비트겐슈타인의 정적주의가 충분하다고 생각하고 있다. 그러나 비트겐슈타인의 정적주의는 규범성과 인과성의 문제를 여전히 남겨 놓고 있다. 이것은 맥도웰에게 있어서 일차적 자연과 이차적 자연의 관계 문제로 나타난다. I claim McDowell’s naturalism depends on the three dubious assumptions. (1) McDowell thinks that the conceptual spontaneity and normativity imply the supernatural Platonism. But it is the mistake to confuse the epistemic order with the ontological order. (2) McDowell thinks that Wittgenstein’s quietism is adequate for dissolving the philosophical problems. But Wittgenstein’s quietism avoids the problem of the relation between causality and normality. It is the problem of the relation between the first nature and the second nature in McDowell. (3) McDowell rejects the Kantian Ding an sich. But this rejection ignores the possibility of being reconstructed the Kantian Ding an sich as the non-perceptual, scientific reality.
