노인성 난청 대상 청능재활 서비스 프로그램에 관한 인식

The Study on Perception of the Aural Rehabilitation Program for the Presbycusis

최근 고령화 추세에 비추어 청각장애를 가진 노인의 수는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 노인성난청 대상으로 이들의 청능재활 서비스에 관한 인식이 무엇인지 알아보았다. 수도권에 거주하고 있는 65세 이상 노인성난청 5명을 대상으로 난청의 상태 및 특성, 보청기 착용의 만족도와 효과, 청능훈련프로그램에 대한 인식조사로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 면담결과는 근거이론 방법을 통한 지속적 비교분석법을 사용하여 3개영역, 10개의 핵심범주, 23개의 하위주제로 도출되었다. 연구결과, 노인성 난청자들은 치료시기를 놓쳐서 더 큰 난청이 발생 할 수 있는 것으로 나타나, 노인들이 자신의 청력 상태를 지속적으로 파악할 수 있는 주기적인 인식개선 교육 및 청력 검사를 쉽게 받을 수 있는 곳을 마련하는 것이 필요하였다. 또한 보청기 가격이 너무 비싸다고 인식하고 있었으며, 보청기 조정을 지원할 수 있는 다각적인 방법과 노인들이 자신의 욕구에 따라 쉽게 조작할 수 있는 청능훈련프로그램 개발이 필요하다고 제시되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 이들을 위한 청능재활 서비스 프로그램의 인식에 관한 시사점을 제시하였다.

In light of the recent aging trend, the number of senior citizens with hearing impairments continues to increase. The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of Aural rehabilitation program for the presbycusis. Five senior citizens aged 65 or older living in the Seoul metropolitan area were given in-depth interview on the condition and characteristics of hearing difficulties, satisfaction and effectiveness of wearing hearing aids, and auditory training programs. The results of the interview were derived from three areas, 10 key categories, and 23 sub-topics using the continuous comparative analysis method based on the grounded theory. The results of the study showed that hearing impaired people with senile hearing were not aware of the signs of hearing, missed the timing of treatment, and thus could have bigger hearing difficulties. Therefore, it was necessary to regularly provide awareness improvement training for older people to continuously check their hearing status or to prepare a place where provides easy hearing testing. Also, senior citizens perceived that hearing aids were too expensive and suggested that various methods to support the importance and adaptation of hearing aids and development of the auditory training program easily manipulated upon one s own needs were needed. Based on the results of the study, suggestions for the future direction of support for the aural rehabilitation program were provided.
