An Analysis of Discourse about the Multicultural Phenomenon in Korean Society

이 연구는 한국 사회의 다문화 현상에 대한 대학생들의 담론을 분석하여 한국 사회의 다문화 사회화에 나타난 문제점을 확인하고 해결 방안을 제시하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이주민들과 함께 생활하고 다문화 가정의 자녀들과 함께 성장하고 있는 대학생들은 향후 이들과 직장 동료나 이웃 혹은 사회의 경쟁자로 함께 살아가게 될 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국의 다문화 사회 현상을 대학생들이 어떠한 시각으로 바라보고 있는지를 살피고자 하였다. 그 결과 다문화와 관련된 개념 정의, 현재 한국의 다문화 현상에서 나타나는 문제점, 한국 사회가 다문화 사회로 변화하는 데 영향을 미치는 요인, 다문화 현상에 대한 부정적이고 긍정적인 인식 그리고 안정적인 다문화 사회의 정착을 위해 해결해야 할 과제 등에 대해서 다양한 논의가 진행되었다. 최근 한국 사회는 다문화라는 말이 보편화되어 있으며 실제로 우리의 주변에는 다양한 변인의 이주민들이 함께 생활하고 있다. 따라서 다양한 사회 계층의 담론을 수집하고 분석하여 한국 사회의 다문화 현상에 대한 깊이 있는 성찰이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the discourse of college students about the multicultural phenomenon in Korean society, to identify the problems of multicultural socialization in Korean society and to suggest solutions. College students who are living with immigrants and growing up with the children of multicultural families will live with them in the future as competitors of their colleagues, neighbors or society. The purpose of this study is to examine the perspective of the students of multicultural society in Korea. As a result, the concept definition related to multiculturalism, problems in current multicultural phenomenon in Korea, factors affecting the change of Korean society into multicultural society, negative and positive perception of multicultural phenomenon, and stable multicultural socialization in Korea And the issues that need to be addressed. In recent years, the word multiculturalism has become common in Korean society. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss and analyze the discourses of various social classes and discuss in depth the Korean multicultural society phenomenon.
