유아의 미학적 탐구 분석 : 레오 리오니의 동화를 중심으로

Analysis of aesthetic inquiry of infants : Focusing on the fairy tales of Leo Lioni

본 연구는 미적 태도와 가치관 형성에 있어 발달적으로 민감한 시기인 유아를 대상으로 미학적 탐구과정을 적용한 교육과정을 모색하고자 하는 목적으로 진행되었다. 본 연구에서는 감각적 인식활동을 주장하는 아이즈너(Elliot W. Eisner)의 인식론적 미학이론과 맥신 그린(Maxine Greene)의 가치론적 미학의 관점을 종합하여 새로운 분석기준을 마련하였고, 이 분석기준에 따라 유아에게 미학적 탐구과정을 적용하였다. 분석작품으로는 유아기 가장 효과적인 통합교육의 자료인 그림책 중 철학적 내용을 담고 있으며 예술적으로도 뛰어난 레오 리오니의 작품을 선정하였다. 도출된 분석기준은 미학적 상호작용, 예술경험구성, 교육적 반성이며 이 도출된 기준을 활용하여 레오 리오니의 그림책 중 4권을 선정하여 분석하고 그 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 밝힌 미학적 탐구 질문들은 레오 리오니의 그림책 뿐 아니라 다른 문학에도 적용할 수 있으며 유아들이 이러한 질문들에 대해 대답을 찾아가는 것은 미학적 성향을 키우는데 중요한 과정이 될 것으로 보인다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the curriculum about the aesthetic inquiry process of a child who is in a sensitive period of developmental in aesthetic attitude and value formation. In this study, a new analytical standard was prepared by combining Elliot W. Eisner’s perceptual aesthetic theory and Maxine Greene s theoretical aesthetics. It also applied the aesthetic inquiry process according to the derived analysis standard. Thus, containing the philosophical contents of the book and being the most effectively and artistically integrated educational material in infancy Leo Lioni s work was selected. The standard of the analysis was based on the criteria derived from a esthetic interaction, composition of artistic experience, and educational reflection. Four of Leo Lioni s picture books were selected and analyzed according the derived criteria consequently presenting the results. The aesthetic inquiry questions presented in this study can be applied not only to Leo Lioni s picture books but also from other literatures. Therefore, it is expected that the children s answers to these questions will be an important process for developing aesthetic tendencies.
