교육대학원 교육운영 및 발전방안에 대한 교수와 대학원생의 인식 및 요구도 분석 -H대학교 사례를 중심으로-

Analysis on Recognition and Needs of Professors and Graduate Students about Education Management and Development Schemes in a Graduate School of Education -Focusing on H University’s Case-

본 연구는 교육대학원의 경쟁력, 교육의 질, 교육과정, 교수자격기준, 시설과 같은 교육운영 및 발전방안에 대한 인식 및 요구를 분석하고 교수와 대학원생에 따른 인식과 요구의 차이를 비교하였다. 본 연구를 위해 충청남도에 위치한 H대학교 교육대학원 소속 교수 26부, 대학원생 33부를 최종 분석하였다. 연구결과 교육대학원 인식 및 요구도에 있어서 다음과 같이 교수와 대학원생 간에 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 교수들은 대학원생들에 비해 교육대학원 경쟁력의 경우 ‘학사관리 경쟁력’, ‘행정서비스 경쟁력’, ‘예산확보 경쟁력’이 낮다고 인식한 반면, 대학원생들은 교수들에 비해 교육의 질의 경우 ‘타 전공 융·복합 과목 개설’, ‘온라인강의 확대’가 상대적으로 더 필요하다고 인식하였다. 또한, 대학원생들은 교수들에 비해 교육과정 개선방안 요구도의 경우 ‘학과별 유사과목 통합’이 상대적으로 더 필요하다고 인식하였다. 현재 많은 문제점에 직면해 있는 상황에서 대학의 특성에 따라 수요자에 맞춘 차별화된 교육대학원의 교육운영과 발전방안에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze recognition and needs of professors and graduate students about education management and development schemes in a graduate school of education such as competitiveness, education the quality, curriculum, qualification standards for professors, facilities education management and development schemes in a graduate school of education. This study surveyed 26 professors and 33 graduate students at H university in Chungcheongnamdo, Korea. As a result, the survey showed significant difference between the professors and graduate students in recognition and needs as follows. The professors recognized that in graduate school of education, the ‘competence in the management of bachelor degrees’, ‘competitiveness of administrative service’, ‘competitiveness of budget securing’ was low. Furthermore, the graduate students recognized a higher need for improvement in ‘establishing a composite curriculum’, ‘expanding online courses’ and ‘similar subject integration’. As the graduate school of education plays an important role as an institution of training teachers, there are several problems that they are facing as discussed above. In the future, it is necessary for the graduate school of education to study differentiated curriculum and improve the educational conditions according to the characteristics of their universities.
