An Overview of Limerence in a Romantic Relationship

집착 행동은 파트너에 대해 강한 몰입과 의존하는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 행동은 연인 사이의 관계를 좌우하는 중요한 요인임에도 불구하고, 이에 대한 연구는 미미한 수준이다. 그 이유로 기존의 연구들에서 집착 행동의 개념이 모호했으며 현상적인 면에서 유사하게 보이는 유사 개념들과 혼용하여 사용하고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연인사이의 많은 영향을 줄 것으로 예상되는 집착행동에 대한 개념을 개관하고, 관련 논문에서 집착 행동과 현상적인 면에서 유사한 개념으로 언급된 관계 중독, 스토킹, 간섭 행동도 함께 비교분석하였다. 먼저 집착행동의 개념을 알아보기 위해 관련 국내 논문과 출판도서를 전반적으로 리뷰하고, 이와 유사한 개념들의 관련 논문도 함께 살펴보았다. 또한 개념적 구분을 명확히 하기 위하여 집착 행동과 유사용어들의 측정도구의 특징을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 그 결과 기존의 연구들에서 모호하였던 집착 행동의 개념을 다시 한 번 정리하고, 현상적인 면에서 유사하게 보이는 유사 개념들과의 미묘한 차이점을 밝힐 수 있었다. 본 연구는 이성 관계에서 경험할 수 있는 집착 행동을 이해하고, 추후 연구를 진행하는데 있어 기초적인 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 추후 축적된 연구결과들과 국외 연구들도 함께 분석 대상에 추가하여 재정리할 필요가 있으며 본 논문에서 언급한 유사 개념 이외에 다른 유사용어들과의 비교 분석을 통하여 재정리할 필요성을 제기하였다.

Objective: Limerence means relying heavily on to a partner. Although this behavior is a major factor influencing couple relationship, there have been little studies done related to this issue. Consequently, the concepts of Limerence in existing studies were blurred and often blended with similar concepts in certain cases. Method: This study outlines the concept of Limerence and we compared it with other similar concepts. To define the concept of the Limerence, domestic papers and publications on limerence and other similar concepts were reviewed. In addition, to clarify the conceptual distinction, the features of the measurement tools of Limerance and similar terms are examined in detail. Result: As a result, the concept of Limerence was once again summarized and the subtle differences between similar concepts were clarified. Conclusion: This study will provide an opportunity to have a deep understanding of the Limerence that can be shown in a relationship, and some basic data for the future research. Still, we need to add related foreign study results and future study results into another subject of analysis and analyze them together. It is necessary to check other similar concepts through comparative analysis.
