국내 가출청소년 연구동향과 개입방안 : 2010년부터 2017년을 중심으로

Research Trends and Intervention Plans on Runaway Youth in Korea from 2010 to 2017

가출청소년은 심리적·정신적·신체적 위험이 크고 비행이나 범죄로까지 이어지게 될 가능성이 높다. 하지만 가출의 주된 원인은 가족과의 갈등, 부모의 학대·방임이 지속적으로 보고되고 있는 것으로 보아, 가출청소년을 집에 돌려보내는 것만을 궁극적인 목표로 보기 어렵다. 즉, 가출이라는 동일한 환경에서 가정복귀 뿐만 아니라 사회복귀, 심리적건강이라는 긍정적 현상을 위한 연구자들의 다양한 접근이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 최근 국내 가출청소년 연구동향을 파악함으로써, 가출청소년을 이해하고 긍정적인 현상을 위해 필요한 연구와 개입에서의 시사점을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 2010년부터 2017년까지의 KCI등재, KCI등재후보지 총 72편을 대상으로 연구출현빈도, 연구분야, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구주제를 분석하였다. 그리고 연구주제에 따른 연구내용을 구체적으로 살핌으로써, 가출청소년의 긍정적인 현상을 위한 보호요인과 위험요인을 파악하였다. 분석결과, 가출청소년 연구는 최근 들어 감소하고 있고, 상담, 심리분야에서의 연구가 다른 연구에 비해 상대적으로 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연구대상은 일반청소년과 쉼터청소년이 전체의 3분의 2를 차지하였으며, 연구방법에서 설명적연구와 통계DB분석이 많이 사용된 반면, 실험연구가 매우 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 연구주제는 원인 33.3%, 특성29.2%, 개입16.7%, 경험15.3%로 나타나 상대적으로 개입연구가 적은 것을 알 수 있다. 연구주제에 따른 연구내용을 자세히 살펴봄으로써, 가출청소년의 긍정적인 현상을 위한 보호요인과 위험요인을 개인·가족·사회측면에서 정리하였고, 이를 통해 추후 필요한 연구의 영역을 제시하고 개입방안에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

Objectives: A runaway youth can be exposed to psychological and physical harm and the possibility of committing a crime is high. Because the main cause of runaway youth is family conflict, just returning them home is not the only ultimate goal. To improve their development, some need to go home and others need rehabilitating. Methods: With this goal, we analyzed recent research trends about runaway youth to understand them, and what should be researched more. We analyzed a total of 72 research results from the KCI, some are registered while the others, and the criteria is frequency, specialty field, research objects, methods and themes. Results: The number of the research on runaway youth has been decreased recently. Less research have been done in counseling and psychology field than the other research field. Conclusions: We focused on understanding the protective factors and risk factors related to runaway youth in view of individual, family, and society perspective. Through this study provided implications for the future research and intervention plans for positive phenomenon of runaway youth.
