청소년 자살생각 동향 연구: 주요 학술지 중심으로

A Study on the Research Trends of Youth Suicidal Ideation: Centering on Major Academic Journals

본 연구는 청소년의 자살문제를 예방하기 위해 청소년 자살생각을 연구한 선행논문을 종합하여 그간의 동향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 향후 청소년의 자살생각에 관한 후속 연구의 구체적인 방향을 제시하고, 청소년의 자살생각을 예방하는 전략을 탐색하여 청소년 상담현장 속에서 어떻게 개입할 것인지 그 자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 1990년대부터 현재까지 발표된 선행연구 중 국내 주요 상담 학회지에서 ‘청소년 자살생각’과 유의어 ‘청소년 자살사고’를 검색한 결과, 최종적으로 총 36편의 논문을 선정하여 조사하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년 자살의 심각성에 비하여 논문은 양적으로 다소 부족한 편이었으나, 2009년을 시작으로 매년 1편 이상씩 꾸준히 논문이 게재되었다. 둘째, 연구대상을 살펴보았을 때 청소년만을 연구한 논문은 총 34편이었고 그 중 고등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았다. 넷째, 자살생각을 측정하기 위한 조사도구는 Beck 등(1978)의 자살생각척도(SSI)가 절반 이상으로 가장 많이 사용되었으며, 이 중 신민섭 등(1990)이 한국 상황에 맞게 번안한 척도를 사용한 논문이 많았다. 아울러 연구방법의 분석 결과 대다수의 논문이 양적연구 방법으로 이루어졌고, 연구변인을 분석한 결과 자살생각을 종속변인으로 한 연구가 대부분이었다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 청소년 자살생각에 관하여 향후 연구의 발전 방안에 관하여 제언 및 논의하였다.

Objectives: To prevent the suicide problem of teenagers, this research is intended to analyze the trends of the past by compiling a preceding paper that studied suicidal ideation of youths. Through this, the purpose of the research is to present specific directions of follow-up research on the thoughts of suicidal thoughts of teenagers in the future, to explore strategies to prevent suicidal thoughts of teenagers, and to present data on how to intervene in youth counseling sites. Methods: Among the leading research studies published from the 1990s to the present, a total of 36 papers were selected and investigated after searching for the idea of suicidal thoughts of youth and the suicide of youth in Korea s leading counseling journals. Results: The main results of this study are as follows: First, the paper was somewhat lacking in quantity in comparison to the seriousness of youth suicide. But since 2009, more than one edition of the paper has been steadily published every year. Second, when looking at research subjects, there were a total of 34 papers that studied only teenagers, and most of them were those that studied high school students. Fourth, Beck et al (1978) s suicide measure (SSI) was used more than half to measure suicide thoughts, and many of the papers used measures that Shin Min-Seop and others (1990) adapted to the situation in Korea. In addition, the majority of the papers were conducted by quantitative research methods. As a result of researching ‘research variable’, most of the studies used the dependent variable. Conclusions: Finally, this study proposes and discusses the development of future research on the idea of suicidal thoughts of youth.
